I bought this very cute material from my local quilt store because I loved it. I had it for a few years before I could do it justice with a special pattern. I had a special person in mind when I bought it as she raced cars in high school and I figured when she had a baby it would be prefect.

She had a special decor in mind for the first son so it was made for her second son. I had an idea to make the flying geese pattern to represent speeding cars that are going so fast it looks blurry. I tried to use the same colors as the cars and used threes sizes of flying geese to represent the sizes of the animals racing.

I have made many quilts. My favorites are baby quilts that I design myself.

It is approximately 38"X 49". I machine quilted it myself and it took about a week from start to finish.

Wow, this one rocks. Amazing details and what a cool way to "modernize" the interests and make it hip, rather than going with the standard car shapes or something. Good job!

I love this quilt. What a perfect way to blend "baby style" with Mom's interests. My family is a big racing family too and this would be great for us too.
