make baby stuff

wooden name for wall

by Summer W
(Cedar Park, TX)

*wooden plaques from craft store (one for each letter of name/monogram)
*wooden letters from craft store (spell name, monogram, READ,
DREAM,SWEET, BABY, CREATE....use your imagination!!)
*paint - apple or like acrylic or other paint - as many colors as you
wish
*coordinating ribbon
*wood glue or hot glue
*staple gun

Paint all wooden parts. Glue letters to plaques (Be creative - I used mine like squares - you can try diamonds or mix and match. There are also round and oval shapes out there). Take length of ribbon and tie bow in middle - *note: "tails" of ribbons will decide how far the plaques hang from the bow - allow about 2-3 inches for "foldover" stapled. Turn plaques over to show flat side. To staple ribbons on plaque, fold end over about 1 inch x 2 then staple to back of plaque just below top fold and just above bottom fold of ribbon. You can also do plaques minus bow - use same steps, just skip the bow tying part :-)
