Vintage Fabric Father to Son Quilt

Vintage Duck Fabric Quilt for Henry the Fifth
I bought vintage reproduction fabric from Esthers on Bainbridge Island. I made the mattress as well. Firmest foam, wrapped in fake oil cloth and stitched. (The original mattress was wrapped in plastic with safety pins and just not safe.) This time I just made up my own pattern because I wanted it simple. The main fabric is just muslin for a rustic look. On the back I appliquéd more of the vintage duck fabric. I used Heather Bailey's binding tutorial plus other internet resources to figure out how to bind. I did stitch in the ditch for the quilting with simple lines for the muslin background. I made a matching pillow because the cradle looked funny without one, although baby never used the pillow for safety reasons. Once he was mobile, we had to stop using hte cradle even with travel bed in it, so now my cute quilt is decor.
