Twin Quilts

I started these two baby quilts when I was about 5 months pregnant with twin boys. I wanted something simple enough that I could finish before they were born, so I used the Cut Loose Quilts book.

The one on the right has Kaffe Fasset bubbles fabric for the background and the one on the left has Kaffe Fasset Roman Glass. I tried to find non-floral, monochromatic prints for the contrasting fabrics (not easy!). The quilts are both machine-pieced and machine-quilted. I was about 99% done when the twins were born, but it still took me until they were nearly two to hand-stitch the bindings!
