Twin Quilt #1

A college roommate was finally pregnant with twins after years of trying. A boy and a girl and as an honorary "auntie", I had already christened them with the nicknames Pup and Alice. Single and not flush, I decided a handmade shower gift was the way to go.

I wanted to make a boy quilt that wasn't too traditional, so I picked bright yellows to go with the blues, little bee appliques for interest, and denim for the binding.

I machine pieced the top, sandwiched in 1 layer of cotton batting, added the backing of a blue textured/furry fleece, and handtied the layers. The appliques are ironed on and then handstitched for security.
