The blanket I wish I could keep!

maude honeycomb blanket from vintage baby knits
Please describe and tell us about your baby blanket.
I knit this blanket for my baby cousin, born 12/28/10. The design is textural, which I think appeals to little ones. This yarn produced a squishy, yummy fabric which was fun to knit.
What yarn and needles did you use and where did you get them? Why did you pick this yarn?
I used Addi click circulars, size 10, and Knit Picks Comfy Worsted.
Tell us more about your design. Was it inspired by another pattern? Why did you pick those colors?
I followed the Maude honeycomb blanket pattern from the book "Vintage Baby knits." I love brown and blue together because they're sophisticated, but not too "old" for a baby.
Did you run into any problems when knitting your baby blanket? How long did it take you to knit?
The pattern was well written, so I encountered no problems. The blanket took 3 months of knitting--interspered with many other knitting projects.
Anything else you'd like to share about your baby blanket or knitting in general?
I might have to make another one of these for me...
