Te Amo Baby Hat

Te Amo Baby Hat

I wanted a hat for Valentine's Day for a baby but not overly cute, just simple and festive. I had been wanting to try my hand at hand embroidery on a knitted garment. I love the look and want to try many other possibilities. Oh, if I only had more time.

I used Berroco Comfort in pink and red. I used Addi Turbo size 7 circulars and size 7 dpns. I bought all items at The Yarn Store in Gainesville, FL.
I used the Berroco yarn because it is user friendly...machine washable and soft, but not too expensive.

The pattern is Baby Rollin' Beret by Woolly Wormhead. I really like this pattern. It is cute, but very simple and fast, as well as versatile

No problems. It took a couple of days to knit and then embroidery.

I am very passionate about knitting and introducing others to the craft. I think it can serve many purposes for majority of people for relaxing and producing something at the same time. Who doesn't like to look at cute baby items, and there is always a baby in need of warm clothing!
