Strawberry Patch Baby Quilt

I made this quilt for the new baby girl of some good friends. It was made entirely from fabrics in my stash, except for the backing, including popular designer Amy Butler. It is machine pieced and machine quilted, and has a hand written label on the back.

I really love the modern but cozy look of this quilt. It was only my second time making a true "quilt sandwich" with quilt top, batting, and backing. The back is solid pink but with a pieced stripe across it coordinating with the front.

I was inspired by the new baby's nursery, done all in pink and brown, and it was a lot of fun to sift through my fabrics finding ones that would go together and give the feel I was looking for. There is a picture of the back posted on my blog if you're interested: here
