Spoon's Surprise
by Sara Pagano
I freemotion quilted hidden "surprises" around the front- Mommy, Daddy, Beautiful, Silly, Happy, Virginia (where she was made), Colorado (where she will be born), and also bugs that the flies are chasing in the borders. There are fussy cut jungle animals in the corners because her husband likes jungle themed stuff. Additionally I used black and white fabric to stimulate a newborn's brain as this contrast is most appealing to babies. The color blocks are foundation pieced onto dryer sheets. I gave this to her as a gift for her shower along with a matching tag ball, burp cloth, and bib. She loved it and I can't wait to see her new little one all wrapped up in it!
