rory's rainbow hat

I didn't know if it was a girl or boy, so I picked a yarn that would suit either - this gorgeous Koigu Painter's Palette Premium Merino in a rainbow colorway that I bought while on vacation in San Francisco. It's knitted flat and seamed together, so I knitted it on US size 3 straight needles. The pattern is the Crystal Palace Pixie Hat, that I found online and had printed off years ago when I had first knitted it for a friends baby. It took just a few weeks to complete... just in time for the baby's arrival! For some reason, when I knitted it, the purl and knit sections don't line up properly, but I still think it turned out adorable, and I don't think my little girl minds at all!
