I made this quilt recently using flannel fabrics. I have made several of these and love them!

In order to construct the quilt I cut my squares to 7" (once sewn are 6") and followed basic ragtime quilting instructions that can be found all over the internet.

Once the quilt was all sewn together, I snipped all the of the seams 1/4" segments. The best thing to use for this are snips you can find at craft places specifically for this purpose. They will cut through many layers of fabric and are easy on the hands.

Once the quilt is snipped, just wash and dry!
There you have it! All frayed and beautiful.
These quilts are super-easy especially for beginners and all if you are a little off with straight stitching. No biggie, the frays will hide it!
