Quinny's Gnome Hat
I am a stay-at-home mom to two wonderful, high energy little boys (ages 2 and 5). We live in Western Colorado and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I knit any chance I get. I especially love knitting for the boys, as they look adorable in everything I make for them.
This hat is my favorite hat that I've knit for the boys. My littlest looks so cute in it and the pattern was so fun/quick to knit up.
I used three different colors of "Cotton Rich" held double with some of my hand-dyed cotton boucle. I used #10 circular needles purchased at Tangle in Grand Junction, CO. I picked this yarn because it is machine washable and it is super soft next to my little guy's sensitive skin.
The pattern is the "Gnomey Child's Hat" on Ravelry. It was a free pattern.
Just a fun, easy knit. It took me a few evenings to knit.
Knitting for babies/kids is so quick & fun. But, it's always a bit sad when they grow out of their hand-knit stuff.
