Quilty As Charged

by Tina Garceau
(Philadelphia, PA)

This quilt (my second) is a gift for my niece M. She's having a boy, so I felt comfortable incorporating a chocolate brown and a bright blue, in addition to orange and the pale greens into the design.

It's a block pattern, measuring 35" x 35", using bold print fabrics from Michael Miller, Sandi Henderson, Denyse Schmidt, and Park Slope. In order to visualize the arrangement of pattern and color, I scanned the fabric and created thumbnail sketches to scale on my computer. It was machine quilted in a few early morning sessions.

The only thing comic about this is the title

The only thing comic about this is the title.

Your creativity shows and I am enjoying the more unique color selection, as in NO baby blues!

This is really beautiful. The colors are great, and it's composed really well. Gorgeous! Hilarious title, too.

I clicked on it for the pun, but what a beauty!
