Porter's Scrappy Little Log Cabin

Porter's Scrappy Little Log Cabin
This quilt came from making a random (and messy) log cabin block from cotton quilt scraps and then just playing from there. I added light blue sky to the sides of the block and then added a roof that was also attached to sky. I just moved out in big chunks from there--more sky, darker starry sky, grass with a sidewalk below. The quilt top came together in an afternoon and then it was machine quilted. Finished, it measures just under three-feet square. This was made as a first Christmas gift for my little nephew, Porter.
