Olly's Quilt
I made this for a friend of mine's new baby 'Olly'. I designed the quilt myself, I wanted it to be bright, colourful and happy!
All of the fabrics are 100% cotton. The backing is a really fun fabric with trucks, tractors and diggers all over in primary colours.
I had a lot of fun making this quilt and experimenting with the combinations of different colours and finding how the appearance of a colour can change dramatically depending on what colour it sits next to.
I applied the name using bondaweb and zig-zagged densely around the letters using the same colour. The quilt is entirely stitched by machine. I'm not a great quilter and I wanted the lines to be fairly clean so I quilted in the ditch.
My favourite part of the quilt is the multi-coloured pieced border.
