Olivia's Pink and Brown
by Janice Mathis
I drew out different sized squares on graph paper and played with it until I got to a size that worked. Once I knew how many of each size I needed, I focused on making each block interesting. I sewed it together in sections, and there's one little square in the middle that everything else pivoted on so it had to be sewn with partial seams. What a pain! Once it was all together, I machine quilted it around every square and backed it with cozy pink and brown polka dot flannel. I completed this fairly quickly, considering, probably 2 months total, working nights and weekends. I hope she likes it!
