My Little Pinwheel

I made this quilt for my best friend when she had her first child. She knew she was having a boy, so I used blue as the primary color for the pinwheels. I designed the layout and picked out all the material.

For the back, I picked a totally different material to give some fun color. On the pinwheels, I freehand some loops. This was my first attempt at freehand quilting on a regular sewing machine. I also used a train stitch around the border for more interest.
