My Little Pinwheel

by Jen
(Longmont, CO)

I made this quilt for my best friend when she had her first child. She knew she was having a boy, so I used blue as the primary color for the pinwheels. I designed the layout and picked out all the material.

For the back, I picked a totally different material to give some fun color. On the pinwheels, I freehand some loops. This was my first attempt at freehand quilting on a regular sewing machine. I also used a train stitch around the border for more interest.

My great-grandson is the proud owner of this quilt and, therefore, I have seen it first hand...being a professional seamstress, I am giving it five stars. The workmanship and chosen colors are exceptional..

I love the bright colors of the pinwheels and the train backing is perfect for a little boy!

Great Colors

I love the colors on this quilt. I did not find out my baby's gender until she was born, and I made my own nursery bedding in bright colors like this. I like brights that are not quite primary colors.

interesting colors

Think the color choices make this a very special quilt......the tan makes the bright colors stand out more than usual and the backing is such fun for a little boy.

Very Unique!
