My $19 Elegant Wrap

My $19 Elegant Wrap

My $19 Elegant Wrap

I wanted a wrap but didn't want to spend the money on a Moby. I went to the fabric store and bought 5 yards of a garment stretch fabric that was very soft. I love the blue sheen the fabric has and this was a great "dressy" wrap for even more formal occassions.

I didn't even bother to cut it in half, I just folded it the long way because it was so thin and stretchy this gave it more support.

I'm very happy with the way it turned out and wouldn't do anything different next time. I wore my daughter comfortably in it often until she was about 4 months old. I have since graduated to woven wraps but I'm glad I saved my $ and just made this one. I live in Minnesota and wore my daughter in it all winter long but it was too hot for summer.

Making this wrap cost me a total of $19 and I literally bought the fabric and then wore it that same day!

This may not be the most creative entry but heck, if I can make one anyone can and I wanted to show how easy and cheap it can be, but still elegant.

Like the folding idea

Love that it only cost you $19 bucks, mama, good work! I also like that you just folded it over and didn't have to cut it, I never thought to do that with a thinner fabric but I'd worry it would be too hot as I'm in Texas.
