Mountain Peaks
by Mona
When I became pregnant this past year with our first child I decided to make a quilt for him that would still be stylish beyond his crib days. I saw a pattern by Denyse Schmidt called the 'Big Zig' and it inspired me to create this quilt. The red, brown and white cotton fabrics by Michael Miller have a small geometric print and is finished with brown binding. Working at a snail's pace it took me about 8 weeks to complete the top my machine and then a few days to hand quilt the binding. I am really pleased with the results and hope my son will like it too!
