Maggie's quilt

This is the second baby quilt that I have made. I saw a picture of a quilt on line and sorta modified it and made my own pattern for it. It was really simple. The hardest part for me was the applique.

The material was not bolt material. The white print material was actually pillow cases I found on a clearance rack. I fell in love with it so I had to find something to match. The only thing I could find was a baby flannel receiving blanket. The close up picture shows the free hand quilting around the pattern on the white print.
