Green Nursery

We used Bioshield eco-friendly natural paints for our nursery. This paint has no vocs (chemicals) which was a must for us for a baby room. We don't know the sex (I'm due in September) so we picked greens and other neutral happy colors.

We don't have any plastic. We have a handful of board books and some stuffed toys and some wooden teethers in the baskets. The pillow on the chair was handmade by my aunt and stuffed with cotton. Our mattress and bedding is all organic cotton. I heard about all the chemicals in traditional mattresses and wanted to avoid that!

We have allergies in our family so natural is important to us to avoid chemicals. I'm scared by all the lead paint recalls so we paid attention to what we were buying and what it was made of.

Eventually, I'd like to replace the cushions on the chair in the room (it was a hand me down) to match better but it isn't at the top of my list. I think we have a good start to our small nursery room.

Not sure how the baby will like it...that has yet to be determined!
