Lewis' Quilt
by Cathy Porter
Lewis' Quilt
I made this quilt for my newest nephew Lewis. This is such a simple quilt to make and by using only two colours (blue and green) for the blocks, the fabrics do all the work for you. I sashed it in white quilters' muslin to make the blocks stand out even more. I didn't use a pattern for this quilt as it is so simple - a very easy beginner quilt. The fabrics I used are all 100% cotton quilting weight. The quilt was rotary cut then machine pieced. I hand quilted it using DMC Perle 8 thread using a contrasting colour. This was a very quick quilt to make. The hand quilting was the most time consuming but I find that part the most relaxing.
