Kitty Blocks Quilt

This quilt represents some firsts for me...my first quilt, for my first grandchild!

When I saw the cat motif fabric, it just seemed the right choice for this quilt. I thought some colorful frames would highlight the charming kitties, and hoped the layout would provide some matching game fun as the baby gets older. The back is an off-white fabric strewn with little paw prints. It is machine pieced and quilted.

Making this quilt presented some challenges for me, but also the opportunity to learn new skills. It took a few weeks to make, and I am now hooked on quilting!
