Jungle Quilt

I made this quilt using the quilt as you go technique. I used a soft flannel on the outside as well as a nice cotton blend for the blocks,the inside layer was a really good quality fleece.

I bought my designs for the blocks online. Using my Janome 9500 embroidery machine and my Pfaff sewing machine. I rather use my Pfaff for sewing!

It was a fun quilt to do, made for a gift for my sons longtime friend's new son. His nursery is done in the jungle theme.

It took most of one week for me to complete, but i must say I was not working really hard to finish it on a time frame. I have been sewing for years but this was the second time I had used this type of quilting technique and I must say I love it. I have made 2 large reversible quilts in the same manner for my grandsons which went really well.
