Jack's Quilt

I made this quilt a few years back before my son was born. It is 100% cotton and the lining is actually an old cotton blanket sandwiched between the layers. It was all done on machine, but the shapes were handdrawn and cut out

It measures about 48 inches by 37 inches and I appliqued all the images on. I picked a house, ball, horse, shoe, bed and others because those were simple objects that I could work with and they are things that are easily reconizable to a small child. The quilt hung above his crib for a long time, until we moved and now he uses it as a cuddle blanket for in the car or during movies on the couch.


We got lots of fancier quilts at our shower but this one has always been a favorite.
