Ivy's Quilt

This quilt is a version of the I Spy quilt. I love the idea of using faces in all of the squares because babies respond to faces. There are 140 faces in this quilt!

The quilt is approx. 36" X 46" and is machine pieces, hand quilted (including quilted hearts on the border) and "fussy" cut squares. The fabric is positioned over a light table and cut to fit just right within each square.

I have collected "face" fabrics for several years and don't even know how many different ones I have in my closet. It has been my baby quilt of choice for special friends. I've made 4 of them so far.

Sometimes I purposely put two squares of the same fabric in the quilt thinking that when the baby gets a little older, it would be like a matching game, looking for the pairs.
