Isabella's Baby blanket

by Terri Haynes
(Fort Washington, MD)

My blanket is 24x36 and made primarily with using a cable stitch.

I used Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino (berry) and size 6 Addi Turbo needles (nickel). I bought both the yarn and needles at Knit Happens in Alexandria, Va before it closed.

The pattern is based on pattern I found on Ravelry. The blanket is a gift for a friend who just had a baby girl in December. I didn't want to do a traditional pink baby blanket and thought this color would be cute.

All the problems I ran into were operator error. The cable pattern is produced in sets of eight rows and I kept losing track of which row I was on. It also took me a long time to complete it. I started in September 2010 and finished it in December 2010.

When I knit gifts for someone, I pray for the person I'm making it for. That helps me stay focused when I'm fixing my mistakes.
