Do you remember the classic game, Memory? My baby quilts are similar in that they feature matching pictures hidden under colorful flaps of fabric. Babies have to lift the flaps and match the pictures underneath.

This is a mind-powered, interactive play quilt that fosters visual perception, concentration and motor skills, while providing warmth and being fun to use! This size quilt (small) features 8 pairs of matching hidden pictures (total of 16 squares).

I use just the right quality-made, fun, colorful and whimsical fabrics. The quilt can be used in many ways- throw it right down on the floor and let your baby or toddler explore the pictures and colors, or hang it on a wall beside your child's bed. Our interactive play quilts are great for traveling as well- there are no pieces to lose.

Our interactive play quilts can also be used as a counting game. Ask your child to count similar items- like counting all of the frogs. Or have him or her find all of the purple cows (pictures vary by quilt).

Batteries Not Required interactive play quilts also:

*encourages the use of imagination and creativity
*encourages learning and development
*is classic and timeless and will stay in your family for generations
*is uncomplicated (no assembly required!)
*improves concentration, and helps with matching skills of shapes, numbers, letters and colors
*makes the perfect travel game
*does not have pieces that kids can lose
*is safe and fun for all ages (recommended 0-9 years of age)

The fabric used is a cotton and a cotton/poly batting is used between the layers. The flaps are purple with brightly colored orange and pink dots, and are set against pink and purple strips of fabric. The border is a matching orange, and the back is solid pink. The finished size is 2.5' x 2.5'.

About the process: I hand select each fabric based on quality of the fabric, color and pattern. All fabric is cut by hand and machine-pieced and quilted. It is pre-washed and dried, allowing you to either spot clean it or throw it in the washing machine and dryer.

I plan to incorporate this with "Baby's Busy Day" pattern which features some interactive squares ie bunny velcroed but not removable from a carrot. This will be under the flap for baby to discover and perhaps match to another on the quilt. Thanks for the idea. I hope to hear whether others have used this GREAT idea.
Happy stiching :)

Love it
