Hat & Scarf for Teddy Bear Charlie

I'm just learning to knit, so I made a hat and scarf for my daughter's favorite bear that she named Charlie. He is a build-a-bear and the clothes that are made for them are very expensive so I thought making some accessories for him would be fun.

My daughter loves to put his hat on and bundle him up with the scarf. It was very easy to knit, I used very chunky weight wool yarn from Michael's crafts store and didn't use a pattern.

For the scarf I knit about eight rows and just kept going until it was the right length.

For the hat I knit until I could just wrap it around his head and then randomly decreased from there, forming a triangle. Then I sewed the seam to make the hat. I haven't mastered knitting in the round yet, that is my next goal!

I'm hoping to make a real knitted baby hat for my daughter this winter!
