Green & Pink Handmade Baby Quilt

Green Pink Baby Quilt
My green and pink patchwork baby quilt was made from a variety of green, yellow and pink cotton fabrics. I'm sorry, I don't remember the names of any of the fabrics, I never pay any attention to that, just pick prints I like. I made it by basically sewing together long strips of the squares and then sewing those together. I used my sewing machine and this was my first ever--although I'd like to make another one--quilt. I didn't get fancy with the quilting, I just followed along the squares. The quilt has a polyfill center, and I'd like to try a natural cotton one for my next quilt. I do love this quilt because it goes perfectly with my daughter's room, which I painted pink and green. She spent so many hours playing on the floor in her room--for tummy time--on this quilt. The size is about 5feet by 6feet, I wanted it a large size because it was really more for on the floor playing than using in a crib, since you aren't supposed to use blankets in cribs! I didn't use a pattern, it is just my own design, and cut out squares of the same size. The whole quilt from start to finish took me about one week, doing it on and off when I had some free time.
