Flying Zebra Kaleidoscope

by Jessica Toye
(Kansas City, MO)

I made this quilt for my nephew, Lucas. I modified a pattern that can be found in a book called Learn to Be a Wacky-Pinwheel Quilting Wizard by Linda Causee. The pattern in the book is called Tropical Twirl.

The fabric is all cotton on the front with a red flannel back. I used a blue fabric with flying zebras in different colors for the main focus fabric. Look closely and you can see the zebras!

This was my second attempt at machine quilting. I did a stitch in the ditch variation. This is my favorite quilt of all of them I've made so far (I've probably made in the neighborhood of a dozen or so).
