Dragonfly Dreams Mei Tai

by Dawn
(Lincoln Park, MI, USA)

This mei tai was made with a panel from recycled vintage kimono fabric. It is for sure a one of a kind carrier!

I wanted something special to carry my little girl in, unfortunately she grew faster than I sew, so in the end we never got to use it :(

The straps are a beautiful green twill, the body is also green twill, with the kimono fabric serving as a decorative addition. There is also a sleeping hood incase the baby were to doze off mid-carry! The straps and waist are padded with fleece fabric so they are cushy and comfortable.

If I were to make this again, I would for sure make it larger in case it takes too long to sew again.

This is the most beautiful one.
by: BabyWrappinMama

I think of all the entries, this is the most beautiful so it would get my vote. I adore the colors and I also like the ribbed look the way you sewed the belt and straps. Looks comfy too. Of all the carriers entered I'd love to own this one.
