Don't get Owly with Me

This was a quilt for my first baby nephew, though I didn't know it was a nephew at the time. My sister is very non-traditional and when I say the owls in my local quilt store, I knew the purple hues had to come home with me, and also knew I could never cut that cute guy up, hence the applique.

I machine quilted as well as machine appliqued on the owls. I think I whipped the quilt together in a weekend as I too have 2 small children and not a lot of time. The matching onsie turned out soooo cute as well. Baby Jocund is happy as an owl in a tree on his new quilt and I couldn't be happier to see my new first nephew!
