Cute As a Bug

Sweet little ladybugs, bees, caterpillars, etc. are scattered on this vintage styled theme fabric.

I made this for my toddler granddaughter, She loves little tiny anythings!--The ladybugs have brown spots so I thought maybe the brown polka dot border might be a little different. I was going for an updated vintage look--but the end result wasn't quite what I thought it would be. Hey, I am learning!!!

I am really attracted to Pinwheels-not too hard--just had to be careful lining up seams. The quilt pattern was in Even More Quilts For Baby by Ursula Reikes--but I doubled its size.

I had a "party" machine quilting this--my second big project to quilt. Practiced the motions on paper and then Went For It!!--Free Form flowers and loops in variegated thread. It was so much fun.
