Please describe and tell us about your baby blanket.

The pattern is from Lion Brand: Diagonal Comfort Blanket

I made this for my neighbors when they had a baby girl. I
presented it with a matching hat.

What yarn and needles did you use and where did you get them? Why did you pick this yarn?

I used 5 skeins of Lion Brand Cotton-Ease in Lime. I wanted to try out the cotton/acrylic blend.

Size 7 (US) circular needles (knitted flat, though).

Tell us more about your design. Was it inspired by another pattern? Why did you pick those colors?

I picked the green color to match the baby's room. I added the crocheted daisies to make it a bit more cute and feminine.

Did you run into any problems when knitting your baby blanket? How long did it take you to knit?

This is an easy knit. I used an extra skein of yarn than called for in the pattern. I used 40% of the extra yarn in the increase rows and 60% in the decrease rows (to ensure that I didn't run out of yarn). I used my kitchen scale to divide the yarn.

Anything else you'd like to share about your baby blanket or knitting in general?

This was fun to make and I would like to make another one.
