Chloe's Room
This is the room we designed for our daughter, Chloe. It doesn't look this clean now, this was a photo taken back before she was born.
My favorite part is the custom crib we had built that was constructed of sustainably harvested woods. We had the tree mural painted and chose it because we thought it would grow with her as she gets older. We didn't want anything too "baby" feeling.
The curtain is all natural fibers and blocks out the light very well. Our bedding is organic and most of our toys are wooden and/or from organic materials. Most of our toys are from Europe. The baskets holding toys and things are wicker. The giraffes are made of wood and are from Cost Plus World Market.
The rug on the floor is not real fur! I'm pretty sure it wasn't natural either. We actually ended up getting rid of it on freecycle because it got so dusty and dirty with a toddler. Not very functional.
We didn't pick natural materials for any reason other than we just like the way it looks better.
