Big Brother Little Brother Leaf & Onion Stamp Shirts

In preparation of baby boy #2 arriving, my toddler and I did a craft project where we created big brother and little brother shirts, but not in the traditional sense!

He loves stamping, so we used an onion and some leaves from our yard to create stamps for the shirts. He had a great time doing it and it was sweet to see him making something for his soon to be little brother.

We used regular acrylic craft paint and a paint brush to apply the paint to the onion stamp and on the leaves. Oh, and an onion stamp is just a plain old onion cut in half. His hands got really messy and since acrylic paint is permanent I had him do this in his diaper so no clothes would get ruined.

I think this is a cute way to prepare your kid for the arrival of their sibling. Then when the baby is born you can put them both in their custom shirts for some adorable photos. I may even use them to do our baby announcements!
