Betsy's quilt

Betsy needed a quilt. She was cold at night. She slept on the floor of my daughters bedroom. Sometimes just under the bed. Poor Betsy.

Along came me. And my limited quilting knowledge. And some scrap fabrics. And a dolls quilt was born!

This quilt is only about 45cm x 45cm (but more than big enough for Betsy). It was machine pieced and hand quilted using a variety of new and thrifted fabrics. I hand quilted the border using free-hand curves and the crosses have an embroidered knot in the centre.

Betsy is now happy. And warm. My daughter no longer discards her and tucks her in at night....
