Please describe and tell us about your baby blanket.

A fun blanket knitted from 1960 Rock-a-Bye Baby Book by Columbia Minerva.

What yarn and needles did you use and where did you get them? Why did you pick this yarn?
I used donated baby yarn by Red Heart and size six needles which I have owned for a number of years.

Tell us more about your design. Was it inspired by another pattern? Why did you pick those colors?
I love the old patterns that haven't been seen for a while. This pattern is called Honeycomb. The soft yellow could be used for any baby.

Did you run into any problems when knitting your baby blanket? How long did it take you to knit?
There were no problems. It took about a month of knitting while I watched TV in the evenings.

Anything else you'd like to share about your baby blanket or knitting in general?
Baby blankets are a good project to use for charity giving. Asking around my church or among knitting friends, has netted donated yarn. I feel that every new baby should have something new to go home in.
