I crocheted this baby blanket for our local crisis pregnancy center. I thought a new mother would like a baby blanket that would cuddle her new baby and look good in her home as well.
I used Red Heart Super Saver and a trusty crochet hook given to me long ago. I chose Red Heart Super Saver because it is durable and washable.
This blanket design called Sparkly Snowflakes, was found in a Crochet Today magazine. I picked the windsor blue and white because it makes me think of snowflakes falling on a winter night.
I didn't have any problems crocheting this blanket. It was fun to assemble it as I went. The crisis center wants baby afghans that are quite large, up to 48". But even with the large size, it only took 3 weeks to make.
It makes me happy to knit and crochet for babies in need!
