Baby Flares
by Vic
I had a top that I loved the pattern on but just didn't fit me anymore, so I converted into some flares for my daughter. The waistband was the neck of a roll neck top of hers that didn't fit over her head, but fitted round her waist nicely. I didn't follow a pattern for the trousers just used the sleeves of the top I had for one leg(to reduce the amount of sewing) and some other trousers as a guide for length. So many people have commented on how cool they look because alot of shop bought baby clothes are quite similar in colours and patterns - so using a garment designed for an adult can lead to something quite unique. I am now addicted to chopping things up and upcycling! |
