Animal House

Designing babyquilts is a favorite. I designed several 'houses' blocks for animals. A shed for the chickens, a stable for the houses, a house for the cats and so on. All doors opens and reveal the correct animal for the house. Even the doorknobs are buttons with the correct animal for the house.The tree flips open en reveals the birds in their nest...

In between I made simple block with a little animalsquare in the middle. This central block is a pocket where you can put a finger puppet in.
For the border I choose an farm fabric. The whole quilt is handmade and handquilted and is entirely my own design.
