A Girl of the World

My little sister traveled the world so it seemed fitting to use this great fabric with girls in traditional dress to use it to celebrate the birth of her daughter. I loved the stripes and wanted to incorporate the black and white to engage the eye. I like to make baby quilts a bit larger to take it to kindergarten! Machine pieced and quilted by me.

Thanks for looking.

Dimensions of your quilt? NEW
by: Vicki

I am considering making quilt for my anticipated grandson due July 22...what are the dimensions of this quilt--I love how you get lot of fabric choices in that design.
I want people at my daughter's shower to use fabric pens to sign/design white squares for the quilt...Most of the signature quilts on line have relatively large blocks and simple designs...
this looks easy enough to sew but has more intricate design...
Don't know anything about quilting but can sew a straight line...
does this pattern have a name or specific design so I can find it/buy it?

Nice use of color and contrast!

I love the stripes and black and white contrast to the little dolls. Great!
