Please describe and tell us about your baby blanket.

I made this blanket based on a stitch pattern that I liked. I added a border to it to give it a finished look.

What yarn and needles did you use and where did you get them? Why did you pick this yarn?

I used Red Heart Fiesta yarn in blue for this blanket, and 5mm circular needles. I purchased this yarn from the Coasts and Clark Outlet that used to be located near where I live. I picked this yarn because it is soft and easy to care for and wash.

Tell us more about your design. Was it inspired by another pattern? Why did you pick those colors?

This design was chosen because I like knitting textures, and I like to experiment with new designs. I chose blue because I knew my friends were going to have a baby boy.

Did you run into any problems when knitting your baby blanket? How long did it take you to knit?

I did not run into any problems knitting this blanket because I knitted a small gauge swatch first. I only knit in the evenings, so this blanket took me 6 weeks to complete.

Anything else you'd like to share about your baby blanket or knitting in general?

This was a fun and easy pattern to knit! I enjoyed the process very much! I find that everyone I give a blanket to is thrilled that I spent my time making an object for their baby.
